Time Portal & Electric Cars

❦ Priority Page ❦

Bureau of Engraving, Page 15 (GR-1)

The commemorative stamps on the second and third row are awesome. Their style is so realistic. It’s more than looking like photographs. It’s like you’re looking through a time portal into the past. The scenes are powerful and full of action. When I start buying U.S. stamps again, these are some of the first ones I want to get.

I also like the ones showing forms of transportation, like the steam ship and steam engine train. There’s also one of an electric car. In the early days, at this time, many people thought that electric cars would be the norm. Someone how the gas powered engine pushed electric cars aside. Now we’ve come back to that technology and it’s on track to be the dominant form of personal transportation. Think how much better our environment would have been had we done this from the beginning.

Note

As you can see, I have most of the stamps for this stock book page, albeit used version. There are still a few more pages that are sparse before my coverage improves starting with the issues of 1925. I don’t think these stamps are too expensive in unused form.

Contains 15 spots: own 12 – 12 unused, 0 used.
