Native Eritreans
These stamps are all from the same series, although I’ve separated them into two sets based on size and subject matter. The first set depicts three persons: two soldiers and two communications personnel – a man climbing a telegraph pole and a messenger, both of whom might work for the military. The images look like blurry photographs from an old film camera. They’re interesting and, I assume, they’re authentic. It’s interesting to see the men, as well as their clothing and other elements. Again, the point is to educate the Italian public on the uniqueness and romance of the Italian colonies, as well as to make Eritreans feel proud of their identity.
Note
This page is complete, but there’s room on the page for a few more stamps. I may relocate the second set of stamps on the Italian Monuments page. I’m not pleased with the layout of those stamps, three sets of almost identical stamps together. That second set is from 1929 and the stamps on this page are from 1930. So they wouldn’t be to far apart in date of issuance. Maybe once I have all or almost all of the stamps in this album, I’ll redesign this page and several others. With all of the stamps in place, I can adjust the size of the frames for each stamp at the same time.
Contains 10 spots: own 10 – 10 unused, 0 used.
Page is finished.

To search by catalog number, go to the search box and enter it in the catalog number box. However, it’s a bit broken; I need to fix it.
