East Africa Colony
In 1936, the Italian government combined the Eritrea, Ethiopia and Somalia into one colony (i.e., the Horn of Africa), calling it Italian East Africa (Africa Orientale Italiana). To that end, these stamps were issued for the new, merged colony. The colony lasted until 1941 when Allied Forces led by British troops conquered the region, ending Italian rule in the African colonies.
Note
This is a new album: I designed the pages and added the information to the database. I haven’t printed the pages, yet. I’ll do that soon and then mount the few East Africa stamps I have. These stamps aren’t very expensive, except for a few on the fifth page (Sassone 41 - 44). It shouldn’t take me too long to get the bulk of them.
