U.N. Intl. School
The U.N. International School is a private school in New York established in 1947 for the children of U.N. diplomats and staff, especially for families from other countries – although locals may attend. It offers classes from kindergarten to senior year of high school, preparing students for college.
In 1968, it was a pilot schools for the International Baccalaureate – a program from which my step-daughter graduated at another private school, allowing her to start college with the first year of credits, at a top university in London.
They currently have about fourteen-hundred students from almost one-hundred countries, with a faculty from sixty countries. They offer courses in nine languages: Arabic, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin, Russian and Spanish.
