St. Francis & Lions
One of my favorite saints is St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint animals and nature. He and St. Catherine of Siena were also patron saints of Italy. St. Francis founded the Order of Friars Minor, the Order of Saint Clare (i.e., the Poor Clares), and the Third Order of Saint Francis.
The top set of stamps on this album page are in commemoration of the six-hundred year anniversary of the death of St. Francis. They depict him, the Basillica of St. Francis and San Damiano Church and Convent, both in Assisi, Italy.
Note
This page is complete. It’s taken some time, but not much, to complete the pages in this album. I’ll be pleased when I have all of the Somalia pages finished, but that may take at least a year more – if ever. There are a few stamps that cost over a thousand euros that I may never possess.
Contains 13 spots: own 13 – 13 unused, 0 used.
Page is finished.

To search by catalog number, go to the search box and enter it in the catalog number box. However, it’s a bit broken; I need to fix it.
