Colonial Art Show
The top set of stamps were commemorating the International Colonial Art Show that was held in Naples from October 1, 1934 to January 31, 1935. It was an art exhibition of art work showing the Italian colonization of Africa, which included Venetian paintings from the 15th Century. It’s purpose was to promote the idea that Italy having colonies in Africa has been around a long time and only natural.
The exhibition was held in Naples because the African Society of Italy (Società Africana d’Italia) was based in Naples and they sponsored it. Plus, the local government sought to promote Naples as the primary port for trade with the Italian colonies in Africa.
Note
These stamps are in order by face amount and Sassone catalog number. They’re not your usual mix of sizes and orientation – they alternate between portrait and landscape. But I think the layout and pattern looks good.
Contains 14 spots: own 14 – 14 unused, 0 used.

Amt. is an abbreviation for the face amount of the stamp.
Own indicates the stamp status: ✓ for unused; ✗ for used or canceled; ⭑ signifies I ordered one; ; ✨ indicates it was bought recently; ✠ means an auction bid is pending; and ◎ is used, and it costs too much for unused.
To search by catalog number, go to the search box and enter it in the catalog number box. However, it’s a bit broken; I need to fix it.
