Cos
The island of Cos, called currently Kos, is located in the Aegian Sea, near the coast of Turkey. It’s one of the larger islands of the Dodecanese islands with a population of thirty-seven thousand people.
Cos’ history goes back many centuries, including being mentioned in Homer’s book called, Illiad. It was an Italian colony, though, from about 1912 until 1947. These stamps are Italian stamps overprinted with Cos originally, and latter with Coo, for use only on this island.
Note
For these album pages for the Coo island, I’m missing only two of the definitives. I just ordered them and should get them by next week. Then these two pages, the pages for this island will be complete.

Footnotes
Spot refers to the postion of the stamp on the album page (e.g., 3.2 indicates row 3, position 2).
Amt. is an abbreviation for the face amount of the stamp.
Own indicates the stamp status: ✓ for unused; ✗ for used or canceled; ⭑ signifies I ordered one; ; ✨ indicates it was bought recently; ✠ means an auction bid is pending; and ◎ is used, and it costs too much for unused.
To search by catalog number, go to the search box and enter it in the catalog number box. However, it’s a bit broken; I need to fix it.
